The Bank of New York has grown to over 800 employees in Syracuse, NY since 2001.  We are seeking a Senior JAVA Developer to add to our strategic technology development organization. You will be responsible for the systems analysis and design, programming, installation, documentation, maintenance and optimization of client/server applications. 

 

Responsibilities include:

?  Code and test software changes in accordance with standards. 

?  Provide user support and problem resolution. 

?  Maintain required documentation including Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation.

?  Provide user support as required for systems under the department?s responsibility.

 

Qualifications:

?  3-7 years experience and a fundamental understanding of all aspects of the J2EE platform.

?  3-7 years experience with minimum of 3 years current experience with JAVA in Client Server and or Web-based applications development.

?  3+ Years solid hands-on development/deployment experience in BEA WebLogic (No substitutes for this skill set)

?  Strong OO design and development background.

?  Knowledge of design patterns and frame works. 

?  Expertise in Spring a plus.

?  Experience interpreting business requirements and developing program/system specifications; devising test plans and implementation strategies.
