Senior Logistics Systems Analyst

Summary:

The Senior Logistics Systems Analyst provides internal consulting for design, development, testing, documentation and implementation support for a variety of US Army logistical support software applications.  Assists with the translation of user automation requirements into hardware, software, and communications requirements. 

Specific Duties:

*  Provides software development staff with solid insights and understanding of US Army Supply and Maintenance requirements/operations.
*  Works directly with system end users to determine application requirements and analyze program specifications.
*  Evaluates user requests for redesign or upgrades of existing software.
*  Generates limited design documentation (GUI Designs, Help Documentation, etc.) for software development. 
*  Provides support for the installation, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the hardware/software to support application functions.
*  Generates and performs QA checks on system documentation (Users Manuals, Training Manuals, system orientation briefings, etc.) used to convey system capabilities to end users.
*  Supports product briefings and demonstrations as necessary to support customer and internal corporate requirements.
*  Provides user training as needed.
*  Conducts research and document findings relating to future development alternatives and enhanced system features.

 

Requirements:

High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 20 years Army logistics systems experience required.

Additional Requirements:

*  Extensive experience in U.S. Army/Reserve/National Guard logistics (Maintenance and Supply)
*  Expert Knowledge of SAMS-1/2, SAMS-E, ULLS-G/S4, and PBUS-E systems
*  Knowledge of Maintenance and Supply Army Regulations, DA PAMS and FM?s utilized at the support and Pre Positioned Stock levels
*  Effective interpersonal skills
*  Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
*  Ability to learn and apply formal procedures through all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

*  US citizenship required.

 

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

*  Basic knowledge of SQL preferred.
*  GUI design experience desired.
*  Experience providing technical training to technical and non-technical audiences desired.
