Senior Mainframe Security Analyst

The Mainframe Security Analyst is responsible for securing First American data to individuals who have a business need for access and processing access requests within established service level agreements. This includes ensuring vendor software installation is accurate and complies with recommended security controls and development of automated processes which exploit the features of the security system software and administration tools. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

Setting up ACF2 profiles.

Add/Change/Delete Resource and Data Set Rules.

Working with users to identify and correct access issues.

Coordinating, testing and verifying ACF2 software upgrades, enhancements, and patches.

Analyzing software upgrades and communicating directly with systems programmers for software installation, system settings and systems software security setup.

Reviewing and validating security reports.

Providing audit reports (SAS70, SOX).

Developing system documentation.

Generating "Best Practices" procedures.

Making recommendations to management for security enhancements.

After hours "on-call" support.

Qualifications

MUST have a high school diploma and some technical, academic or professional education in a relevant technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Systems; Bachelor's degree or technical certifications related to data security are desirable.


MUST have 6 years of systems security administration experience, preferably in a high volume, large-scale corporate enterprise IT environment involving extensive ACF2 working knowledge including resource and data access rules as well as other admin tools.


MUST demonstrate proficiency from experience with JCL as well as CLIST, COBOL or REXX programming experience.


MUST have strong working knowledge of TSO/Gateway and ISPF utilities.


MUST be proficient using MS Office tools including Word and Excel.


MUST have demonstrated effectiveness in a team environment and the ability and willingness to provide after hours, on-call support as needed.


Experience with RACF is desirable.
