Position Summary: Position SummaryUnder the general direction of the Director Business Intelligence Applications, this position is responsible for the architecture, data model, and on-going operation of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing standard Enterprise Data Warehouse processes and procedures for source system mapping, Extraction/Transformation/Load (ETL) application design & development, data model design, and data quality assurance. The primary focus will be leading a team of Data Modelers and ETL Developers to produce standard, detailed ETL program specifications and quality programs.  This position will also be responsible for the operational stability of the data warehouse, including ensuring all processes of acquiring, cleansing, and loading data are properly monitored and audited; thereby providing data integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of delivery.  This also includes data warehouse performance, integration with source systems, and achieving service level agreements.  Sara Lee has just launched, Project ENABLE, a multi-year business system transformation initiative. This position will play an important role, largely responsible for defining the corporate data strategy within a new Enterprise Data Warehouse. He/She will work with business users, other IS participants and Businesses Analysts, to analyze the newly defined business processes and related flow of data. This effort will provide a vision on how to structure our data in order to maximize efficiency of the new application systems, including the design and definition of a master data model for the Data Warehouse and Data Marts. This person will develop the enterprise data warehouse management methodology and standards. Over time, they will create appropriate standards, processes and tools to promote and facilitate mapping of data sources, documenting interfaces and data movement, design the movement of data through the enterprise, define integrative views of data especially for analytic purposes, and focus on data quality. They will put in place governance processes around meta-data to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterprise information, and to ensure the accuracy, validity, and reusability of meta-data. This role will participate in developing consistent definitions for common reference data, establish measures to chart progress related to completeness and quality of meta-data for enterprise information, to support reduction of data redundancy and fragmentation, elimination of unnecessary movement of data, and improvement of data quality.

Experience with ETL tools such as: Ascential Data Stage, Informatica, etc. required 5+ years of IT industry experience 3+ years of data warehouse and hardware experience At least 2+ years of hands-on ETL development, database management, or data modeling experience Led a development team on at least 1 Business Intelligence Project with SAP BW as a major component Experience with BI tools such as: Hyperion, Business Objects, etc. desirable Experience with SAP and SAP Business Intelligence desirable Excellent project planning and resource estimation skills Excellent communication, teamwork and persuasion skills a must Understanding of other aspects of a Business Intelligence Solution (Front End, Data Modeling, User Requirements, etc...)
