Senior Market Data Client Services Specialist

The Market Data Client Services Specialist will manage systems and services to provide real-time market data services and support to a multi-product financial trading environment consisting of over 800 trading professionals globally. The MDCS Specialist will coordinate with other Market Data and Infrastructure staff to provide operational, administrative and analytic support for applications using live market data feeds. The MDCS Specialist will ensure that all market data applications are functional and optimized while providing administration and support to production trading environments. The client base will include trading desks, exchange floor trading operations, Investment Banking, Research, Infrastructure and Software development technology teams.

The Market Data Client Services Specialist will provide expert knowledge on technical and business usage of market data products and services. The Specialist will support Reuters Bridge Workstation, Reuters 3000 Xtra, Microhedge, Bloomberg, Autex as well as other third party applications and will provide second/third level support for the Trading Support teams globally.

The technical scope of this position includes: installation, maintenance and administration of market data applications and news services, coordination and participation in market data projects as assigned and inventory tracking and review. Additional responsibilities include liaising with vendors, traders and technology departments to understand and meet business requirements and acting as an escalation point for resolving market data related production problems.

Qualifications:
Information Technology or related major, and 5-10+ years experience in a Market Data administration and support position for a Financial Services organization

Experience with various Market Data applications including Reuters Bridge Workstation, Reuters Triad, Reuters 3000 Xtra, Bloomberg, Microhedge, and Autex

Knowledge of trading concepts a plus

Experience working with Microsoft XP/2000 desktops, Windows 2000/2003 server operating systems.

Knowledge of basic networking skills including TCP/IP

Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to prioritize quickly with changing demands

Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to be methodical in problem analysis and resolution

Willingness to "own" problems until resolved in a satisfactory manner

Proven experience in meeting deadlines and working well under pressure

Ability to interface with both business and technology teams to design mutually agreeable solutions

Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills and organizational skills

Strong customer service skills

Must be a team player with an ability to apply initiative

Ability to travel on occasional (2-3 annually) overnight trips to NY and Chicago
