Senior Network Administrator

Affinity Bank is an established financial institution with headquarters in Ventura, CA and offices strategically placed within the Western US. Because of our growth, we have a new position which will be located in our corporate office in Ventura.

 

Purpose:

Develops and maintains the bank?s Local Area Network and Wide Area Network environment.  Reviews and recommends new PC server based solutions and technology and maintains the Bank?s current PC server based solutions.

 

Major Job Duties:

Researches, recommends, acquires, installs, and maintains Windows server based solutions, including hardware, software, and operating systems.

 

Installs, maintains and optimizes the bank?s local and wide area networks and associated equipment.

 

Develops and maintains documentation for the bank?s network and server environment, including procedures, security and audit logs, standards, and specifications.

 

Maintains appropriate security and access control to the bank?s network and servers.

 

Functions as internal consultant to assist other IT staff in solving complex problems.

 

Responsible for data backups, and assists CIO in maintaining business continuity plan.

 

Stays current with industry advances and changes in end-user software, systems software, systems hardware, and security-related solutions by attending conferences and seminars.

 

Ensures that software, particularly Windows server operating systems, are patched and free of security vulnerabilities.

 

Other responsibilities as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

Five years experience working with PCs, servers, and networks.

 

MCSE Certification is required.

 

Effective verbal communication skills.

 

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

 

Extensive knowledge of Windows server operating systems, and Windows server based applications such as IIS, SQL Server, and Exchange Server.

 

Extensive experience with LAN and WAN equipment, including switches, routers, various cabling topologies, firewalls, and network security equipment.

 

Working knowledge of telecommunication technology such as T-1, frame relay, VoIP and associated protocols.

 

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.  Bachelor?s degree from a 4-year accredited college or university is preferred.
