Senior Network Engineer

Position Overview:

Position will:

- Provide resolution for moderately complex network problems or issues.
- Provide assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture and the development of technical standards and interface applications, which require a moderately high level of technical expertise.
- Evaluate new products as assigned and provides a recommendation to management on the effectiveness and feasibility of implementing new products.
- Support, install, maintain and troubleshoot local area and/or wide area networking devices and related software for remote offices and internal and external networks.
- May provide direction and guidance to lesser-experienced network administration staff to assist them in their role and understanding of more complex network administration.

Skills:

Network Engineer must have:

Minimum 5 years of hands on experience.


-Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Preferred.

-MCSE preferred

-Exchange migration experience and/or administration
-In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and other routed protocols.
-Strong knowledge of QoS, Wireless, and VPN technology.
-Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-vendor network issues in the LAN and WAN environments.
-Excellent analytical, organizational, time management and problem solving skills are essential.
-Written communication skills, including ability to write white papers, document technical designs, and assist with developing proposals.
-Oral communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with executives, end-users, vendors, and department staff.
-Must be a self-starter, and able to verbally communicate to peers with confidence.
