Senior Oracle 10g/RAC DBA
We are looking for our next a Senior Sybase Technical Specialist star to join our team. This position is for a Major Investment Banking firm located in central NJ responsible for providing production support for critical Oracle databases within the Global Corporate and Operations Technology Area. Responsibilities to span all aspects of DBA support include: install, configure, and maintain highly available Oracle 10G RAC environment; work from project inception to completion on a strategic, state of the art initiative. The environment is comprised of dozens of Oracle 10g RAC instances, multi Terabyte SAN, IBM p595 Frames running AIX 5.3 Virtualization.
To be eligible you must have a minimum of 10 years of Oracle Database Administration experience; must have over one year of strong Oracle 10G, RAC skills are required. You should also have experience with as many of the following as possible: Dataguard, Oracle Streams, performance monitoring and tuning, VLDB backup/recovery strategies using SQLBackTrack and RMAN, UNIX/AIX capabilities. You must have had exposure to BMC Patrol monitoring tools; be a self-starter who can multi-task and work in a fast paced critical production support environment; strong communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients is necessary.
