Under general supervision, provide high-level technical expertise in the design, implementation and maintenance of relational database management systems that support enterprise business applications. Responsible for high-level support of multiple Oracle databases that run business applications accessed by multiple departments/divisions. Proactively monitor and resolve database environment issues, assume ownership of database environments to ensure their ongoing availability and optimal performance. Ensure complex data models are mapped efficiently into physical data models that take advantage of the characteristics of the specific database management system used. Assist in the implementation and support of software products, design and construct interface programs, and support data migration efforts.
Provide technical guidance to other Database Administrators and Developers. Adhere to and contribute to operating procedures/tools to assist in monitoring, maintaining and optimizing database support across development, testing, and production environments.

Must have experience with: Oracle 7/8/9, Windows NT, and UNIX.? Must also have experience with implementing and supporting enterprise class applications.

Oracle 9i certification is a PLUS!!
