Senior Oracle Database Administrator - Product Creation IT

 As our Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) for Product Creation IT, you'll be part of a team of DBA professionals that develop, manage, maintain and troubleshoot the production, development and the testing of databases that support Nike's Product Creation applications. You'll provide technical design, development and proactive maintenance of databases and the associated files to ensure accessibility, security and integrity of company data. You'll also be responsible for database performance monitoring, tuning, planning and problem resolution and data dictionary administration. In addition, you'll handle database installations and configuring and tuning database backup and recovery.



Requirements for the position include:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field
5 years' professional experience in IT
2 years' additional professional experience in lieu of a degree
2 years’ professional experience as a DBA (Oracle preferred)
Experience providing technical design, development and maintenance of Oracle databases in a high availability configuration
2 years' experience with UNIX operating systems and shell scripting
Exceptional ability to communicate with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators
Experience and/or willingness to provide guidance to other IT departments concerning database related issues
Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Experience writing and tuning in-depth PL/SQL procedures is preferred
Experience developing and monitoring data architecture standards and conventions is preferred
Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle is preferred
Experience with RMAN and OEM is preferred
Experience providing strategic database direction for an organization is preferred
Experience as a Oracle DBA is preferred
Experience working in a N tier environment is preferred
