General Description:

Emerging Health Information Technology seeks a senior level manager to oversee the management of staff as they make changes and create new components to the various components of the patient care systems.  The Systems include Electronic Medical Record systems (i.e. Lastword, Carecast, Logician, and Mysis); Operating Room Systems (i.e. GE, PSIS or SIS); Patient Registration Systems (i.e. Lastword, CareCast, Flowcast); and Medical Records system (i.e. 3M). The Senior Project Manager will manage the project plans, tasks, and members of CIS while these associates perform as part of a team and/or cross functional teams.

 

Responsibilities include:Responsible for managing a team of patient care systems analysts in a project-oriented environment.Ensure that tasks are completed on time.Manage daily activities of and providing technical guidance to multiple analysts.Communicate with various levels of management at Emerging Health and client sites to provide project status and projections.Work closely with Implementation Managers and ensure that project plans updated. Responsible for status reports to management.Work with other groups to provide timely resource support to a matrix-environment organization.Ensure that analysts adhere to standards of system development.Perform employee appraisals in written form while providing on-going feedback.

 Requirements:BA/BS degree required.5+ years of experience as a manager in a Healthcare/IT environment. Excellent staff management skills. Demonstrated experience of managing cross-functional teams/matrix management is strongly preferred. Demonstrated project management experience.Experience with project management planning tools. Experience with CA Clarity is preferred.Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills are required.Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization and with the client base.Must be well organized, detail oriented, highly analytical and possess strong problem solving skills.Clinical Information Systems (CIS) applications experience strongly preferred.Proficiency in SQL preferred.Working knowledge of any programming language a plus (Cobol, Command Level CICS, Visual Basic, C)Familiarity with HL/7 Interface protocol is preferred.Must be able to enforce deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
