Senior QA Expert

A program was launched by the client to implement better flexibility and control over their systems. It involves a number of new systems and applications developed to provide added functionality and/or to replace legacy systems, as well as the integration with other existing client systems.  To assume long-term viability and flexibility of the new design, a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) was chosen for system integration.


You will be responsible for developing system and integration test plans, writing test reports and tracking bugs.  Utilize Rational and Mercury tools to provide traceability between software requirements, test scenarios, test cases, variances, and enhancements of J2EE Enterprise Application deployed in a JBoss Application Server. 

 

Specific Duties:Develop detailed test plans based on software requirements and technical design specifications Design, develop and deploy test scripts using Mercury?s Quick Test Pro, Load Runner and Win Runner testing tools, and UNIX shell scripts Perform hands-on testing using Automated Tools Define, track and report quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and find/fix ratios (Test Director)Develop final test report for each product to document the quality issues found during the testing process so that fixes can be tracked Perform analysis of J2EE based Applications in a JBoss Application Server. Perform performance measurements of SOAP/XML based messages in a SOA (JMS/Vitria) environment

 

Position Requirements:A strong knowledge of and experience with software development and testing processes and procedures with a Minimum of 7-8 years experienceExperience in software performance analysis Specific Integration testing experience along with back-end testing skillsStrong research and documentation skills Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and technical troubleshooting skills Ability to manage multiple test projects concurrently Prior test automation experience and demonstrated proficiency with Mercury?s Quick Test Pro, Load Runner and Quality Center/Test Director testing tools Knowledge of both Windows and Unix environment

 

Desirable Experience:Experience creating dynamic XML messages using database mapping techniques In-depth understanding of SOAP/XML HTTP Protocol Experience creating XML Check Points with Mercury Tools Fluent in use of programming languages (C, C++, JAVA, Visual Basic) and scripting languages Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture and web service technologies Solid understanding of UNIX tools to include VI, PS, SAR, AWK and SED
