Job Description: 

Primary responsibilities include supporting and managing SAP Technical team members on a large scale SAP implementations, quality review and manage completion of all Basis team deliverables, and interacting with ongoing Production Support / Project related activities.

The Basis Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of SAP Basis Administration; system installations and upgrades, problem analysis and resolution, software patching, database management, performance tuning and system testing.

Candidates should have excellent communication, interpersonal/team building skills, and time management skills. Coordinates efforts and solves technical Basis challenges for multiple SAP releases and production support. Responsible for multiple SAP systems and day-to-day support and administration activities. Work with MIS technical services organization, production support and related hardware and software vendors. Effectively coordinate deliverables and support with all Technical Infrastructure Team resources. Acts as communication focal point for Basis Team issues. Develops Basis team?s work plan. Drives resolution of technical issues. Manages & oversees Basis maintenance & enhancement process. Evaluates & validates Basis change requests and builds & consolidates change schedule. Insures infrastructure modifications & changes are compliant with architecture standards. Responsible for managing & allocating resources, defining & managing of deliverables, and representing team to other groups.

RequirementsCollege or Technical schooling in the Computer field required. Related SAP training required.

Plus to have:SAP Basis or Technology Certification. Must have at least 5 years of SAP Basis management related experience with 7+ years of SAP Technical experience. Must have extensive experience in IT infrastructure management within a global, complex organizational structure (such as distribution, entertainment, or media). Must have process management experience for IT infrastructure & process development experience for IT or related infrastructures. Work experience preferred with OS (Windows, NT), DB (SQL), HA, documentation and user training. SAP experience with SAP WAS 6.xx, SAP Solution Manager 3.2, SAP Business Warehouse 3.5, SAP CRM 4.0, SAP SCM (including APO), SAP R/3 Enterprise (4.7) including cProjects, and SAP Enterprise Portals. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in a SAP environment and previous positive success managing a diverse technical team. SAP project implementation experience. SAP knowledge in a cross section of modules in technical support preferred. Understanding of overall technology architecture employed to provide business function.

Working knowledge of the following preferred: SAP Basis, EDI & Workflow. ABAP/4 Programming Language, Structured Query Language (SQL & SAP extensions), Database fundamentals in the Windows Environment, SAP R/3 in SQL Environment, Windows Operating System, Shell Scripting, Monitoring, Tuning, Administration. Must have strong leadership/management skills and an understanding of business area. Must have initiative, drive, and ownership qualities and a collaborative work style. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel. Must have the ability to manage multiple resources. Must have the ability to pay close attention to details.
