Senior SAP Materials Management Systems Specialist

The Senior SAP Materials Management Systems Specialist is responsible for working with Company business partners, and converting business requirements in business system (primarily SAP) solutions. Working with business project sponsors, this can include capturing and documenting requirements for changes to the SAP Materials Management Applications, assessing the impact of proposed changes, developing the SAP application changes, working with third-party consultants and Information Technology personnel to ensure the changes are delivered and supporting the business through the implementation process. Specifically, the areas of responsibility include Warehouse Management, Inventory Reporting, SAP Console configuration, and Warehouse personnel security role assignment, Query Administration, Plant Configuration, Physical Inventory, Cycle Counting, and Vendor Material Consignment. This position interfaces closely with the Sr. SAP Systems Developer/Analysts ? Production Planning. In addition, this position may be responsible for the development, documentation, and implementation of new or modified business system software supplied by other third-party vendors.

Roles & Responsibilities: 

 

? Provides application technical leadership in the assigned discipline for developments and problem solving involving an in depth understanding of the SAP application.

? Provides technical and business level user support and appropriate training for current, new or modified SAP or external business applications.

? Documents new transactions and business processes.

? May perform project management tasks, including the production of project specifications, project plans, and other documents.

? Determines configuration changes needed due to business acquisitions, changes in the Company organizational structure, or new or enhanced SAP applications. Configures and tests Materials Management applications.

? May design screens and reports.

? Consults with management regarding the capabilities of existing system and possible use of those systems.

? Examines results of changes made by programming staff to ensure that results are correct.

? Identifies and recommends new tools and procedures that will lead to improved performance in materials management.
