Senior SAP SD Analyst - BSIT - BIS
Business Information Systems (BIS) is an exciting and dynamic organization that provides system support, enhancements, and consultation for the selection and implementation of TLR and Thomson business systems. We develop TLR business systems that support business operations such as ordering, subscriptions, pricing, billing, finance, publishing, manufacturing, and distribution. BIS is also responsible for system administration and development of other 3rd party and internal systems and web applications.
In this position, you will play a lead role in providing SAP business system enhancements for a variety of critical business areas through collaboration with functional and development engineers, and key business resources. You will be responsible for requirements gathering, designing, specification writing, testing, and implementing solutions for critical business initiatives. This is not a developer position, but technical skills are helpful when working with developers on projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organization, analysis, and problem solving skills. They must also possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, strong interpersonal skills. They must be self-motivated, deliver on commitments within the established timelines, have the courage to raise issues, and proactively work to resolve issues and remove barriers in a timely manner.
Primary Responsibilities:
? Enhance existing SAP solutions. Including, but not limited to:
oCollaborating with appropriate business units, production support team members, and developers on requirements gathering, solution design, and creation of enhancement specifications.
oConsulting on other enhancements where you may have expertise.
oFacilitating and/or participating in functional and technical solution reviews with BIS management, developers, architects, and Basis representatives.
oConfiguring solutions where applicable.
oExecuting appropriate tests and ensuring the integrity of the solution prior to business unit and user acceptance testing.
oWorking with the business to resolve solution defects that may be identified and logged.
oCommunicating the final solution to the business and coordinating the implementation of the solution to the production environment.
oUpdating system documentation.
? Collaborate with other functional engineers, team leads, managers, and business representatives to determine schedules and project timeframes.
? Lead and facilitate meetings with key business representatives, developers, Basis, and others areas of the company.
? Ability to provide coaching to junior level staff and provide performance feedback where applicable to team leads and management.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related field. 4+ years SAP R/3 Configuration experience preferably with Sales and Distribution (SD) module. 4+ years experience analyzing business requirements and designing SAP integrated solutions. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team on multiple, competing priorities. History of meeting deadlines in uncertain environments, and delivering high quality results. Proven ability to appropriately identify, take ownership, and focus on highest priority tasks. Ability to manage time effectively according to priorities and timelines. Must be self-motivated, possess the ability to take on projects and tasks with little direction, and apply good judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as strong interpersonal skills. As a result, the qualified candidate must be able to communicate effectively to a wide variety of audiences including other software engineers, developers, as well as business end-users. Must possess a mindset to objectively view and effectively explain an issue or resolution from an end-user/customer/business perspective. Must have strong documentation skills. Willingness to work in a team environment and to assist with developing other software engineers.
Preferred or Desired Qualifications: SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) configuration experience Ability to read and debug SAP ABAP code 2+ years of programming experience
