Senior SAP SD Quality Assurance Specialist

Synectics has an opening in Naperville, IL. A Senior SAP SD Quality Assurance Specialist with a proven and demonstrable track record of QA testing efforts in a challenging IT environment. Duties and responsibilities include planning, defining and executing a wide range of quality-control tests to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified requirements. Under minimal guidance, the consultant will analyze project documentation and/or customer needs in order to translate needs into required test documentation. Job tasks also include assisting in maintaining test environments, providing support and serving as a preliminary escalation point for all test efforts on assigned projects, documenting and communicating test results to the appropriate project core team members, revising test scripts/cases based upon test results and/or changes in product design, collaborating with developers to determine appropriate solutions to defects and retesting defects to ensure problems are resolved, and representing the QA discipline on project teams developing relationships with team members.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who possess verifiable and in-depth testing experience in two or more of the following technologies: SAP R/3, APO, BW and CRM. Qualifications for this position include:

? Experience in quality assurance principles and methods

? Experience in drafting test plans and test cases

? Proven system test experience

? Excellent communication skills (oral, written presentation) across multiple levels of the organization

? Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask

? Ability to understand complex applications and business functions

? Ability to work independently and multitask without negative impacts to timeliness or quality

? Ability to read, understand and interpret a variety of documents such as technical and solution design documents, and policy and procedure manuals

? Good analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with a variety of scenarios related to application testing

? General knowledge of web-based applications

? SAP SD, APO, BW and Enterprise Portal testing experience and an understanding of SAP-related Business Processes

? Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

? Specific experience testing Supply Chain and supporting SAP applications is desired

? Background of developing automated test scripts for regression, load and performance tests using Mercury Quick Test Professional is desired

? Experience testing web-based applications is desired

? Knowledge of telecommunications products is desired
