To help us continue driving their business forward, our client is in search of experienced, top-tier Sr. SAP SQA Engineer for Data Conversions to join their team in San Francisco, Ca.

This is a 7 month contract position and the pay for this position is based on a competitive market rate and interested candidates will submit their pay expectations. 

 

Job Description:

Sr. SAP SQA Engineer for Data Conversions

 

Duties:

?  Responsible to oversee all data cleansing and conversions and ensure they are delivered in accordance with established quality policies, procedures, and methodologies.

?  Providing guidance on AQL and review/approve appropriate sampling plans for Data Team.

?  Supporting data integrity via collaboration with process tracks, data teams, business SME?s, Quality Assurance and the Data Governance Team.

?  Providing IT Quality oversight of all data migration/conversion/verification activities.

?  Perform duties as an individual contributor or team member with 100% hands-on work

?  Sr. Engineer with solid SAP experience.

?  Participate in SAP requirements development, software code reviews, configuration and change control, and Go/No-Go decisions.

?  Plan, schedule, execute & review various test documentation for SAP.

?  Apply strategies and approaches for identifying risks with implementation, assessing their likelihood, and initiating strategies to test for those risks.

?  Record, report, and track defects to accurately depict the status of the system - including conducting defect/triage meetings, daily testing status reports and acting as a single point of contact for defect tracking issues and updates.

?  Advise data team on all quality aspects of Data mappings, data flow, and sequencing. 

Skills:

?  This position requires strong technical, communication and management skills & experience in overall administration/management functions, concepts and practices. Tasks may be of an advanced, non-routine nature. Errors may cause substantial delay, expense, and/or disruption

?  Participated in the implementation of SAP software.

?  Experience writing & reviewing Functional and Technical Specifications for conversions.

?  Understanding of coding and toolsets used for data conversions.

?  Working knowledge of SAP development lifecycle: design, development, SQA and software release management and procedures.

?  Experience with risk-based analysis & approach to sampling and testing

?  Experience in coordinating all aspects of software testing, developing test plans, traceability, cases, scripts, data, etc

?  Ability to relate to both the functional and technical aspects of a problem to act as mediator and quality manager for both types

?  Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills

?  Dedication to customer service and satisfaction

?  Working knowledge of SAP?s LSMW, CATT.

?  Working knowledge of ETL process.

?  Working knowledge of Requirements and Test Case Management, Defect Tracking. 

Education:

?  BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field.

?  5-7 years of Software Testing experience.

?  3-5 years of SAP Experience in several areas( Hands on): SD, MM, OM, LM, WM, PP-PI, PM, FICO, QM, Data Warehouse, etc.
