Senior Software Developer / Database Developer

Founded in 1946, Spherion is a pioneer in the Technology Industry, providing its clients with qualified temporary, contract and direct hire employees.  We are currently searching for a Senior Software Engineer / Database Developer for a 6 month contract at a premier Phoenix area employer.



 

The Senior Software Engineer and database developer will analyze, design, program, and modify software products and customer applications.

? Writes code and complete programming, testing and debugging of applications.

? Finalizes forms, procedures, and other documentation needed for the installation and maintenance of application programs.

? May use a wide range of disciplines such as distributed networking and databases, communications, and multiprocessing applications.

? At more advanced levels, establishes techniques for the design and modification of software.

? May provide work leadership to a team.

 

Requirements

? Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent and 5-7 years experience.

? Requires firm background in software engineering including analysis, design, implementation, and verification.

? Must have extensive knowledge of Business Intelligence Terminology, techniques and methodologies.

? Experience in large volume data analysis and SQL performance tuning.

? Experience with PL/SQL, UNIX and Oracle a must. 

? Business and/or data modeling experience within the healthcare industry.

? Experience with other BI (Business Intelligence) tools.

? Design work in Portals and Portlets.

? Skill in communicating effectively with a wide variety of people.

? Knowledge of principles and practices of project management.

? Adherence to software process framework AND ability to work in unstructured environment.
