Senior Specialist-Network Sec

Description: Security analyst must be knowledgable with computer and network security, intrusion detection, network monitoring and common network security methods. Have a good comprehension of Internet, and domain name addressing; fundamental componets of networks; and TCP/IP, FTP and HTTP protocols; expertise in at least one common commercial IDS/IPS system; experience in computer threat/attack methods and associated defense techniques; experience analyzing bulk traffic/logs; and have an understanding of most network appliances and their functions. Good understanding of Oracle (writing queries or understand SQL syntax), sys-admin experience in general UNIX operating system files locations and maneuvering through Unix-based directory file structure, Unix-based editor (ex: vi, tedi, emacs, elm, EDT, EVE, etc, changing file mode and privileges and how to access, reference, and print Unix-based help on-line. Have a good knowledge of Intel-based computer administration with Microsoft based operating systems and Microsoft Office software applications. Experience with CISCO routers/switches, have worked in a Law Enforcement/DoD/intel environment.

Qualifications:
Min 2 years with Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional work experience in network security, incident response/analysis and operations support, or 3 years combined training within the following areas: intrusion detection systems, Internet, IP and Domain name addressing; fundamental components of networks; and the basics of TCP/IP, FTP, and HTTP
