Senior Systems Administrator

This position is responsible for multiple areas of design, development and implementation of technical products and systems.  This position is recognized as the enterprise wide technical leader and resource that recommends alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures and is responsible for the resolution of challenging technical issues and plays key roles in projects related, but not limited to infrastructure, outsourcing, new business development, purchased applications, and internally developed applications. This position will act as a technical resource for all engineers and act as second level support to the customer support desk in their respective systems. The position will work independently in a department with a strong customer service focus and provide input to management for process and technological improvements.

 

Requirements include:Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent. Associate?s degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent may be acceptable with appropriate career experience Experience with Windows and AIX server software and hardware, desktop operating systems, PCs, LAN/WAN, storage area networks, and monitoring.  Server Virtualization experience (VMWare) is preferred. Strong ability to learn new systems and technologies and a desire to participate in training to build skill depth Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms. Skilled at analysis and problem-solving. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Outstanding customer communication and service delivery skills. Solid understanding of project management techniques and processes.
