The Senior Systems Consultant for will provide pre- and post-sales support, technical recommendations for solutions to customers, onsite and offsite technical analysis and services, configuration analysis, some vendor relationship functions and certain other tasks as become necessary in the course of business.  Possesses in-depth knowledge of document management software, computer and document production hardware, network operating systems, and data center applications to deliver analytical, services and support functions with a minimum of supervision. The Senior Systems Consultant is also the technical liaison to internal product group organizations and outside vendors and acts as a project coordinator for the technical part of customer installations. Additional responsibilities include:

 

? Assists the sales and analyst teams in sales efforts of connected and software solutions

? Acts as a technical liaison for customers and sales representatives

? Interfaces with Operations, Marketing and Sales organizations

? Actively participates in pre-sales efforts of systems products

? Effectively coordinates the demonstration of hardware and software; tailoring demonstrations to customer?s needs

? Develops needs analysis, cost analysis, solution description and coordinates implementation plans after researching to determine customer?s technical needs

? Develop technology-based solutions which integrate processes and products from a number of vendors into a cohesive solution to meet the needs of prospective and current customers.

? Project manages non?standard network installation of printers and integration of software

? Manages and delivers chargeable professional services

? Produces reports outlining product and process learnings and issues discovered in the field

? Acts as expert for the assigned field of products/services, understanding product offerings of various vendors in the market and trends that are driving new customer requirements

? Makes products and market segment knowledge available to Operations, Sales and Marketing via training and publications

? Maintains a high level of industry and IT knowledge

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

? Responsible for own transportation

? May involve extensive travel by airline, train and or automobile

? May involve out of town stays for long periods of timeEDUCATION

? College degree in a related discipline or equivalent job experience? MCSE, CDIA, A+, N+ certifications are a plusTECHNOLOGY KNOWLEDGE

? In depth knowledge of office, CRD, MFD and production printers such as those from Oc?, Imagistics, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, IBM and HP

? In depth knowledge of scanning/imaging technologies in office, CRD, MFD and low-end production environments including equipment from vendors such as Oc?, Xerox, Ricoh, Canon, HP, Bell and Howell, eCopy, OMTools and Fujitsu

? A working (hands-on) knowledge of document / records management applications from a wide variety of vendors such as EMC, Interwoven, Microsoft, Hummingbird, LibertyNET and Oc? is required

? A working (hands-on) knowledge of the AEC (Architectural, Engineering, Construction) industry and the printing, imaging and archive processes unique to that industry is desired.

? In-depth knowledge of print management for a range of printing protocols including PostScript, PDF, PCL, LCDS, MVS and IPDS is required

COMPUTER SKILLS

? In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and topologies including LAN/WAN management, TCP/IP segmenting schemes, and wireless technologies is required.

? Working knowledge of the Windows, UNIX and LINUX operating systems is required.

? The ability to write basic code in Visual Basic, C+ or Cold Fusion is a plus
