Senior Systems Engineer

Essential duties and responsibilities: install and configure as well as maintain Web and Middle Tier applications in staging and production environments, participate in processes (QA, Change Management, and Release Management), assist with troubleshooting (in the QA, Staging, and Production environments), provide thorough functional as well as process and topology documentation.

Candidates must possess 5 or more years of Systems Engineer/Administrator, systems analysis, and scripting experience with 4 or more years of experience operationally supporting an nTier, B2B, and B2C environment. Infrastructure experience and ability to use operating system level and hardware architecture understanding for solutions and troubleshooting are required. Candidates must have patch management, web infrastructure design, and infrastructure experience with the ability to use operating system-level and architecture understanding for solutions and trouble shooting. Demonstrated knowledge of technical and data architecture, data security principles and practices, and Best Practices and industry standards for software environment management, inventory control, change control, and deployment is required. Candidates must have excellent technical knowledge of application and networking to include load balancing applications and the ability to ensure fault tolerance for applications. Candidates must be extremely detail oriented with superior debugging, problem-solving documentation, and record keeping skills. Candidates must also have detailed understanding of the following technologies: Microsoft Operating Systems (MCSE Certification a plus ), SQL Server (n-Tiered Microsoft platforms and architectures), Operating System (OS security, installation/configuration, and hardware trouble shooting skills), Apache Tomcat, Web and application server technologies (IIS, Apache Tomcat, .Net, SOAP/XML, COM/COM+/DCOM, and SSL).
