We are looking for a Senior T-SQL Performance Engineer with very strong relational database and software development skills to join our production and development teams at our Los Angeles office located near LAX. If you feel you are a ?walking SQL Server Books Online?, enjoy working in a fast paced development team and want to work with OLTP databases up to 1TB, this is your dream job!

 

You will need to have demonstrated expertise with:

- Transact-SQL (T-SQL),

- Stored Procedures,

- Triggers,

- Replication,

- DTS,

 

You'll need:

- Excellent performance analysis skills, including techniques for analyzing database applications and determining bottlenecks in database code.

- Experience in understanding SQL Server query plans and estimates,

- Ability to optimize queries by looking at their execution plans,

 

You also need an in-depth understanding of:

- SQL Server query hints,

- Tuning indexes,

- Tuning Stored Procedures

Qualifications:



- In-depth experience and understanding of database design especially with large scale OLTP environments.

 

- Experience in developing applications that can handle millions of transactions per day.

 

- Broad and deep SQL Server experience.

 

- Database development experience with large scale commercial applications.

 

- At least 2-3 years of work related experience is required.

 

-  Strong oral and written communication skills is a must.

 

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field required.
