Senior Technical Analyst

George Weston Bakeries, a manufacturer of such premium products such as Entenmann?s, Stroehmann, Freihofer, Thomas?,  & Arnold is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to support the Information Systems Department in Bay Shore, New York.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, technical specifications, program design, coding, debugging, testing, installation, documentation and support for Manufacturing and Supply Chain systems under the direction of the Project Manager, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Systems.

 



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:



?  Work remotely at plants and depots to gain and leverage expertise of George Weston Bakeries manufacturing and supply chain processes. Travel is infrequent (once a month on average) but could range from 1-5 days.

?  Work with users to define systems specifications for enhancements to Manufacturing and Supply Chain applications

?  Prepare detailed technical specifications, code/revise programs per technical specifications, document all changes per systems standards

?  Develop/execute test plans to assure quality of completed work and compliance with technical standards

?  Implement solutions at plants and depots, including on-site training and support

?  Monitor project progress and take corrective action where required to assure timely completion

?  Leverage technical and analytical skills to support other departments by assisting user and internal support personnel in the resolution of operational problems

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

?  Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or related field

?  4+ years Systems experience, 2+ years developing applications with relevant technologies

?  1+ year(s) of manufacturing and/or supply chain experience preferred

?  Proficient in at least several of these technologies: Visual Basic, ASP, .NET, WebSphere, Crystal Reports, SQL, SQL Server or Oracle, Windows
