Senior Technical Consultant

Our client, a leading provider of integrated data management solutions for clinical trials and drug safety, is currently seeking a Senior Technical Consultant.  The Senior Technical Consultant will work closely with customers and project team members to implement solutions around the Company?s products.

 

Responsibilities:

? Scopes client?s business requirements and works with the project manager to manage on-time and on-budget delivery of solutions.

? Facilitates meetings with task groups or clients to identify user requirements, resolve issues and define plan of action. Uses structured methodology, professional and technical concepts to solve a wide range of difficult problems. Looks to identify opportunities to modify processes or adapt technologies to reach the desired outcome more efficiently with improved results. Works independently to define scope and implement smaller solutions for clients May function as a technical lead to implement solutions that include installation and configuration of products and design and development of custom applications and utilities. Designs and implements custom applications and/or application interfaces Performs systems administration activities such as performance tuning, data management, etc. Able to understand and explain complex technical issues and presents information in a concise manner. Adheres to quality standards Mentors and coaches team members

 

Education and Experience Required: Requires BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5-7 years professional experience. Prior consulting experience is required. Advanced experience with Multiple databases (Oracle, SQL*Server), Multiple platforms (UNIX, NT/2000/XP), Multiple Programming Languages ( C++, ASP, .NET, BizTalk, XML, VB, PL/SQL) Ability to work as part of a team, yet work independently on complex problems Must have project management or team leadership skills including experience with scope management, work planning and work delegation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and presentation skills Must have proven experience in systems analysis, application design, development, systems integration and deployment. Must have the desire and ability to learn/migrate to different platforms, applications and languages quickly. Must follow a structured approach to problem solving, as well as an appreciation of analytical and quantitative analysis.

 

Senior Technical Consultants must be willing to travel up to 60%.
