Senior Technical Systems Analyst

International firm providing Engineering and Construction Services for Oil & Gas Onshore and Offshore developments, Mining & Metals, Chemicals & Polymers, Refining & Power industries and Technology Development, is currently seeking a Sr. Technical Systems Analyst for it's Houston headquarters, located in the Westchase Business District.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND SPECIAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

Qualifications:

? Good educational background, preferably in computing

? Microsoft Certified Professional

? Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer

Essential Knowledge:

? High level of knowledge in Administering  Windows 2003 Enterprise Environment (Active Directory Services)

? Experience with administering clustered servers

? Knowledge of  DFS,WINS, DHCP, DNS, File and Print services Printer configurations

? Knowledge of Exchange 2003 administration including managing User mailboxes, Distribution lists

? Experience with a backup/restore tools (Veritas Backupexec)

? Experience in working with Dell/Compaq SAN environment will be highly desirable

? Knowledge of networking, and basic troubleshooting

? Daily responsibilities include: Permission issues, provisioning of accounts, set up of new users, give users access 

  (rights) to applications, be able to do back up and restores, know how Veritas works, how to restore deleted files.

? Telecommunications concepts and protocols

Desirable Knowledge:

? Microsoft Systems Management Server

? Microsoft Exchange

? Windows Terminal Server & Citrix

? Microsoft Project & project management techniques

? VMWare server and workstation software.

? Microsoft Operations Manager

? Good telephone manner

Good analytical skills

 

? Out of hours working may be required on an irregular basis and travel to other locations and sites for short stays will 

  be required occasionally
