POSITION SUMMARY

Ascendent Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of RIM Inc., is the premier provider of enterprise voice mobility solutions that provide single number reach ability, real-time notification and conferencing, and voice continuity.

Ascendent Systems is currently seeking a Senior Telephony Applications Engineer at our HQ location. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design/development of telephony applications using C++, JAVA, XML, JTAPI, CTI, and VoIP. Other responsibilities include integration testing, bug tracking, and resolution project technical documentation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of advanced C/C++ in telephony environment
4+ years experience with PBX interfaces and CTI
2+ years experience with Dialogic Global Call
2+ years experience with Microsoft SQL
4+ years of Technical Lead experience
2+ years VoIP protocol experience SIP, H323
Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design skills
Good communication and personal skills
