Sr. Unix Administrator - Solaris - Our client is s seeking a talented, highly motivated, Sr. Unix Administrator to manage the UNIX server environment consisting of multiple Sun Servers running Solaris. They are an established, growing and innovative business improvement company with a nationally recognized commitment to quality.

In addition to managing the UNIX Server environment, additional responsibilities of this position will include:

?Support an environment running multiple mission-critical applications, including custom client applications, the corporate ERP system and web hosting for both corporate web sites and custom client web sites.

?Manage the storage area network (SAN), server to SAN connectivity and backup and restore processes for systems and data.

?On-call responsibilities as part of a rotating schedule, as the environment is supported on 24x7 basis.

Required Skills:

The Requirements for this position will include:

?Minimum of five to seven years of UNIX Solaris administration experience.

?Experience with the Perl scripting language.

?

In addition to the above skills, the ideal candidate will have experience in one or both of the following areas:

?Experience with administration of BEA Weblogic app servers, SunOne web servers, Apache web servers, bind and postfix or sendmail.

?Some experience with administration of EMC SAN, EMC Power Path, Veritas file/volume manager.

Any Knowledge of Oracle database technology and PeopleSoft ERP package would be considered a plus.

Additionally, qualified candidates will have the ability to provide technical leadership to others, be able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and have good communication and interpersonal skills. An Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent experience.
