Sensor Analyst

DECISIVE ANALYTICS Corporation has 2 immediate openings for Sensor Analysts to provide technical support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Sensors Directorate. The mission of MDA/SN is to develop, acquire, field, and operate Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) sensors utilizing the block approach to deliver increasing capabilities of the BMDS Sensor Architecture. The sensor systems currently under MDA/SN include the Forward-Based Radar-Transportable (FBX-T), the Adjunct Sensor, the Airborne Infrared System (AIRS), the Overhead Non-Imaging Infra-Red (ONIR), the National Sensor Integration Rapid Prototype (NSIRP) program, and the Upgraded Early Warning Radar program. SN also identifies and integrates technologies to enhance the BMDS Sensor Architecture.

Be part of a team of analysts providing complete and integrated technical analysis and assessments to support the design, testing, and integration of sensors into the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS). Candidates must have experience supporting DoD Programs and support quick response analysis tasks. Candidates must have experience conducting simulation-based analysis to support tradeoffs of concepts and requirements for the BMDS Sensors or developing quick-response engineering tools to support analysis requirements.

Candidates will research issues, analyze options, and recommend courses of action through reports, papers, briefings and correspondence for presentations. Candidates will also be responsible for assessing advanced discrimination, tracking and fusion techniques and developing plans and options for integration of these techniques into BMDS Sensors. Additionally, candidates will interface with other MDA organizations to include SE, MDNT to participate in MDA-wide studies and analyses, and provide independent evaluation and assessment of ongoing activities.

 

Security Clearance:  



Applicants must possess an active DoD Security Clearance (TS preferred).

 



Relevant Experience: 

Specific Experience with Satellite Tool Kit (STK) Experience in Programming to include: MATLAB, Perl, FortranComprehensive knowledge of MDA systems, including understanding of Sensor Tracking and Discrimination concepts Experience in modeling and analysis of sensor performance. Background in Missile Defense preferred Skill in written and oral communication 3-5 years experience desired

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative scientific discipline.  Candidates with a Master's degree are particularly encouraged to apply.
