Server Infrastructure Project Manager

Synectics has an opening in Lake Forest, IL. A Project Manager is needed to manage server infrastructure projects, which includes managing and coordinating many tasks associated with deployment of Windows and UNIX servers. This PM must be able to handle many projects simultaneously. The PM will use strong analysis and communication skills to successfully interface with clients in gathering requirements. Job tasks will also include translating user requirements for system engineers and ensuring the technical design created by the engineer is in sync with user requirements.

 

Qualifications for this position include:

- Understanding of server technology and terminology

- Must be customer-oriented

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Services, or Computer Science preferred

- Four to six years of consulting experience is preferred

- Eight to twelve years of experience, including at least two years professional consulting and two years in program/project management

- Formal training in SDLC methodologies

- Good analytical and problem solving ability, creativity and insight

- Proven ability to motivate employees and create a positive working environment

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a strong political awareness
