Service Manager (must have IT experience)

We have an immediate opening for a Service Manager in our San Francisco office.

The primary responsibility of the Service Manager is to coordinate the efforts of the Engineering Team in the delivery of engineering services for FusionStorm customers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* 3-5 years experience coordinating the delivery of engineering services within the IT, security, storage, or networking industry.
* Excellent organizational, customer service, verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to collaborate with technical engineers and others).
* Assemble and edit written documents for a technical audience.
* Familiarity with the technical concepts, terms and practices used in the assessment and implementation of security products and services.

* PMP Certification or other types of project management certifications are highly preferred.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Schedule, track and coordinate all activities (meetings, con-calls and tasks) involved in the delivery of both pre- and post-sale (billable) engineering engagements.
* Manage customer relationship during engagements in order to assess and assure a high degree of customer satisfaction.
* Communicate in a timely and accurate manner with all parties as to the progress and completion of each engagement.
* Assemble and edit Statements of Work (SOWs) for engagements and forward to Account Managers and Engineers.
* Assure FusionStorm's MSA (Master Service Agreement) is signed prior to scheduling engagements.
* Maintain current list of engagements in company database with accurate status and price information.
* Produce a report of current engagements to Management and an accurate billing summary to Finance on a weekly basis.
* Maintain company database and support the creation and marketing of Engineering Practice products.
* Work closely with the Director of Engineering and the Engineering team to continually improve customers' quality of service.
* Plan and track vendor engineering certification requirements for service delivery, and assist with vendor re-certification process as required.
* Cross-train for other Service Manager roles as a back up for vacations, sick leave, etc.
* General Administrative duties as assigned.
