Job Description:

Candidate will be part of a Service Delivery team responsible for delivering client facing technology solutions for Global Markets Sales and Research. As such, you should have experience across a broad functional spectrum that includes e-commerce and electronic channels, cross product client portals, research publishing and distribution, client relationship management (CRM) and client analytics, business intelligence, content management and offshore operations. Candidates must have a proven track record of tangible accomplishments in a demanding and dynamic environment.

 

Candidate should be able to apply technical and business knowledge in developing end-to-end design requirements for projects involving multiple lines of business, development teams and vendors. Work closely with business partners to determine requirements and develop functional designs based on business needs and systems infrastructure. Drive and participate in design, development and implementation of large/complex enterprise wide applications, often using new technologies. Work closely with developers and testers to ensure requirements and functional designs are translated accurately into working technical designs and that test plans/scripts serve customer needs.  Work under minimal supervision. Assure compliance with all corporate business requirements management processes and practices. Provide technical systems and software support for modification, implementation, or conversion of business systems. 

 

Work with the business representatives to identify requirements and provide potential solutions

  Analyze business processes and create use cases to articulate requirements

Document functional specifications for the purpose of system design and development

Communicate requirements to the development team

  Assist in documenting test scripts and participate in user acceptance testing

  Track open issues and liaise with development teams to close issues and complete quality assurance

  Train business users and document release notes 

Requirements:

3-5 years of business analysis experience

  Strong command of the software development lifecycle process is required

Must have extensive experience gathering and documenting business requirements, use cases and workflows

  Must have worked with Mercury's Quality Center product to track requirements

Must have in depth knowledge of development methodologies, UML, data modeling, SQL and associated tools

  Must have strong working experience of MS Project, Excel and Word

  Ability to handle multiple and simultaneous activities and priorities, to formulate creative solutions to problems, and drive continuous process improvement

  Broad based knowledge of current legacy and emerging technologies

  Ability to work across organizational units and provide persuasive and influential leadership

  Must be a self starter and a quick learner with a "can-do" attitude

Must be detail oriented and be able to multi-task

Must have strong analytic skills, be very organized with strong time management skills

  BA or BS degree is required

 

Desired:

 Experience in financial services, investment banking or brokerage

 Certifications, such as PMP or Six Sigma, are beneficial
