Job Summary

Manages and coordinates the technical aspects of a Siebel system implementation. Acts as a manager of the Configuration team. Acts as a mentor to other UI and Data Architects.

Principal Responsibilities: (Essential Function)
? Analysis and Design including, but not limited to
o Analyzing of business requirements, responsible for the creation of Siebel Conversions and Interface Requirements, Conversion and Interface Design and EIM Design documents, data modeling (creating conceptual data models), and data mapping.
? Development and Configuration including but not limited to:
o Creating data cleansing and/or migration scripts;
o Creating ETL scripts;
o Creating and optimizing Siebel EIM scripts;
o Creating GUI, EAI, Integration Objects, and Business Service configuration in the Siebel Tools environment;
o Creating Siebel VB/eScript configuration in the Siebel Tools environment;
o Development associated with the Siebel eBusiness technology (JavaScript, ASP, etc)
o Development of reports, using tools such as Actuate/Crystal or other technologies (e.g.: VB/Access, Excel), Testing configurations and development tasks;
o Writing technical documentation as it relates to the above functions.
? Software installation including but not limited to:
o Installing/uninstalling software programs related to Siebel architecture and/or programs used to support development and configuration tasks.
? Siebel Administration tasks related to Siebel modules, including, but not limited to:
o Siebel Assignment Manager, Siebel Workflow Manager, and Siebel Marketing Manager.
? Manages and coordinates the technical resource pool on a project;
? Develops and ensures that technical milestones set forth in the project plan are achievable and met;
? Effectively utilizes and augments resource team to create solutions to fulfill functional requirements;
? Collaborates with resource pool to prepare design documentation that reflects the technical integrity and overall robustness of the design;
? Constantly monitors the process of software configuration/development/testing to assure a quality deliverable with minimal defects;
? Maintains awareness of and control over all technical issues in the project. Includes data, configuration, infrastructure and other technical issues (reports, database performance, etc.);
? Aggressively identifies, manages, and escalates changes to project scope;
? Partners with the Siebel Lead Consultant and/or Project Manager to manage the overall design processes;
? Researches technical research requests and other issues raised throughout all phases of client projects;
? Conducts the design review process with Siebel Expert Services;
? Ensures that standards of Quality Assurance (QA) are being met as part of ongoing development System (Unit test level) in accordance with C3i standards and the QA methodology;
? Coordinates interactions between the project technical team and Siebel Support and the Technical Account Manager;
? Functions as the primary contact for technical resolution between the development team, client, and Siebel;
? Acts as the representative of C?i and face to the customer for all technical, database, and infrastructure related issues;
? Expected travel is 75-100%, depending on client assignment; and
? May be expected to manage activities on 2 or more engagements simultaneously.

? Strong overall data integration and programming knowledge including, but not limited to:
o Strong understanding of relational database concepts
o Strong understanding of extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) procedures
o Any 4 GL programming language
o NT/2000 and/or UNIX operating systems
o Strong understanding of configuration options available using Siebel Tools
o Strong understanding of EAI options available in Siebel and their appropriate use
o Web-related technologies including, but not limited to ASP, Java, XML, HTML, and IIS Server

Education

? Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience; and
? Current Siebel version Consultant Certification (after six months service at C3i).

Experience

? Five or more years consulting experience;
? Three to five years Siebel configuration experience (some Siebel Pharma obligatory);
? At least two full life cycle Siebel implementations demonstrating robustness of design and quality of deliverables;
? Two or more years of exposure to Life Sciences industry preferred; and
? Two or more years experience in the use and management of pharmaceutical industry data (IMS/NDC).
