These are long-term partnerships with clients for whom we manage and provide increasingly specialized business operations, such as finance and accounting, IT, applications development and maintenance, help desk services, and HR.  We not only maintain key business functions for clients, we constantly seek to improve them to help our clients move ahead of the competition.

 

The Services workforce is made up of four groups: Client Operations, Project Based, Delivery Centers and BPO Businesses.  Most of our people in Services are based long-term at a client location, an Accenture Delivery Center or, in some cases, an Accenture office. 


Job Description


Client Operations professionals are responsible for the day-to-day provision of long-term outsourcing services to one or several clients.  They design, manage and implement the activities associated with key business functions. The Service Delivery/Operations capability focuses on the attributes or skills essential to providing the necessary services and solutions to the client, the client?s employees or the client?s customers in fulfillment of contractual obligations agreed upon by both parties.  The Application Outsourcing specialty incorporates skills which support the programming, management and maintenance services required to implement and support new installations or maintain and improve existing legacy systems for our clients.

 

As a Software Analyst, you will work in a unit at Accenture that has been established to service a large North American communications company.

 

Key responsibilities may include:process design testing status reporting requirements gathering programming

 

Qualifications

Development/Integration Skills:  Up to 1 year of experience in the following area:

?  Has an understanding of the overall Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

?  Has some experience with the Detailed Design, Code, Test, and/or Production Support phases of the SDLC

 

Technologies:  Up to 1 year of experience in the following area:

?  Basic computing skills:

?  Familiarity with Web components (WWW, E-Mail, etc.)

?  MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

?  Database concepts

 

Professional Skill Requirements

?  Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills

?  Deductive/Logical Reasoning: Breaks complex problems/situations into their component parts to identify and evaluate critical information

?  Strong Problem Solving Skills

?  Demonstrates Ability to Juggle Multiple Activities/Responsibilities

?  Exhibits Teaming Behaviors (works well with others)

?  Flexibility:  Ability to function effectively in a dynamic work environment

?  Demonstrates interest in working locally, but open to travel if role requires

?  Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering

 

Nice to Have Skills and Qualifications

 

Work or study experience with the following is desired.

?  Languages: C/C++, Java, COBOL, SQL, HTML, XML

?  Middleware: Websphere

?  Databases: DB2, Oracle, Teradata

?  Computing Environments: MVS, Unix, Client Server, J2EE

?  Telecommunications IT Experience within Billing, Customer Care
