Software Developer - Access

Faithful+Gould are seeking degreed professionals with 5+ years experience with proven ability to develop in Microsoft Access applications, reporting capabilities and testing.

 

This role requires:

 

Development Capabilities

 

Senior Microsoft Access developer with a good understanding of object oriented technologies

Strong Crystal Reports Skills (Experience in the utilization of Crystal Enterprise 10 or XI to generate enterprise reports.)

Senior Microsoft Access developer with a good understanding of object oriented technologies

Ability to set standards with Access development and lead the team to follow standards.

Expertise in Client-Server architecture using MS SQL 2000 As Back-End and MS Access 2003 As Front-End

 

 

Testing Responsibilities

Tests software programs to compare to specifications and documentation.

Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content.

Creates and executes automated test scripts using testing software programs.

Contributes to establishment of standards and procedures for program design and testing.

Monitors program performance after implementation to prevent recurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.

Develops computer programs to test, track, and verify defects in software programs.


Education and/or Experience

 

B.S or M.S in Computer Science or related engineering fields

Experience programming in the following languages: MS Access, MS SQL (Triggers, stored procedures)

C#, VB, and .NET preferred

Knowledge of accounting systems preferred.

Formal training in Microsoft-related coursework a plus.

Visual Studio 2005, C#, Visual Basic .NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio .NET, Visual Studio 2003, SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005, MS Access, Visual SourceSafe, MS Access 2002, VBA, Transact-SQL
