This position is responsible for implementing solutions to complex development issues. In addition, the candidate should also have experience working in a globally distributed environment on complex projects with project team members based in different national and international regions.





Essential Responsibilities:


1. Development and maintenance of web based applications to customer specifications.


2. Assists Senior Developers in the development of functional specifications based on vision & scope provided by the Development Manager.


3. 3-5 years software development experience beyond education.


4. Demonstrate knowledge and experience in developing web-based software applications in a Microsoft environment.


5. Object Orientated Programming.


6. Service Orientated Architecture (SOA).


7. Fundamental understanding of the Microsoft .NET framework (v1.1 and 2.0).


8. Work effectively individually or as part of a team.


9. Creative, detail-orientated and disciplined.


10. Passionate about software development.


11. Excellent written and oral communications skills.


12. Strong problem solving skills with a disciplined and structured approach to problem resolution.


13. Experience in the development of cross browser web based applications.


14. Demonstrate knowledge and experience with structured query language (SQL) and query tools to create complex queries.


15. Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual SourceSafe, Visual Interdev.


16. C#, ASP.NET, ASP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSLT, Visual Basic 6, COM+, SQL, DTS.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


? Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent experience.


? Three+ years software development ? minimum 1-year experience in a distributed web-application environment.


? Very strong organizational skills and ability to use time effectively.


? Good understanding of database structures, understanding of how to manipulate and segment datasets and ability to create database queries.


? Experience prioritizing requests and responsibilities effectively.


? Willingness to learn new technologies and new processes (this may mean doing some self-study on your own time);


? Ability to work flexible hours as needed.


? Proactive and show initiative in identifying areas of application improvement.
