Software Developer w/ J2EE and Websphere; finance experience a plus

xScion Solutions, LLC is a leading professional services firm in the Washington, DC area supporting financial services firms with their consulting and permanent hiring needs. We are currently seeking two experienced Software Engineers with experience in JAVA and WebSphere for a temporary to permanent opportunity with a leading financial client.

This financial institution has three layers to their consumer loan processing: Online Consumer Loan Application, mainframe backend with decision processing, scoring and views for the loan processors, and loan servicing. This middle layer is old, inefficient, and is being replaced by a customized COTS package called Provenir. Our client is looking for two Software Engineers to help with the implementation of the Provenir application and design and building of links to upstream and downstream applications. Knowledge if the Provenir application is not necessary but knowledge of loan applications would be helpful. The successful candidates will also learn the application and ultimately be involved in maintenance and integration of the application with other systems. These are critical roles as this group is just being formed. The successful candidates will become the defacto experts on the application, processes and rules associated with this important area of the company.

The technical skills needed are:

JAVA, WebShere. DB2 or some other RDBMS as well as some messaging experience (i.e., MQ Series) are plusses.

Candidates MUST BE LOCAL to the Washington, DC metropolitan area and have work authorization. No exceptions!
