Software Engineer 3 - Java, SOA

Software Engineer needed to explore emerging technologies in the realm of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and web service.  Must be able to envision the application of SOA solutions to mission critical problems.  Responsibilities include exploring emerging SOA technologies and supporting vendor products, developing briefing materials for customer presentations and cross organizational outreach, developing prototypes to demonstrate web services and SOA concepts and technologies, and assisting in defining reusable organization-level SOA architecture.






Experience in the following areas is required:


Bachelor degree along with a minimum of 4 years of experience with full lifecycle application development

Minimum of 2 years of experience developing web services (e.g., XML, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI).

Minimum of 3 years of experience with J2EE application architecture design and development

Experience with various enterprise Java strategies (e.g, ESBs, J2EE frameworks such as Struts, Spring, etc )

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Technical leadership



Experience in the following areas is an asset:


Familiarity with DoD architectures (e.g., NCES, GIG, DoDAF) considered a plus

Familiarity with leading vendor tool suites (e.g, IBM, Sun, BEA, etc)
