Software Engineer

Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities. Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Test, debugs and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documents, including both program level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provides direction to junior programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.

 

Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Work experience demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education

 

? Minimum of five years experience is required, of which three years must be specialized
? Expert knowledge of applications programming on database management systems
? Knowledge of computer equipment and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives
? Demonstrates ability to work independently or under only general direction

 

Preferred Skills:
One or more of the following: Visual Basic, Visual Studio.Net, VBScript, JavaScript, Java, HTML, XML, SOAP, SQL, COM
