Software Engineer 5/6 - Medical DT&E

The Software Engineer 5/6 will be responsible for generating or developing C++ code using the proper syntax. Designs and develops software products/systems.  Tests and develops formal documents for related software processes.  Develops database solutions.  Will also be responsible for the development of software to support Medical Data system Test Software.

The following are the Basic Qualifications for this position:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of 4 years of programming experience
4 years experience in C++ development; must demonstrate experience designing and implementing a significant project


4 years development experience in a UNIX environment using C++ to include (but not limited to) threads, mailboxes and shared memory


Strong desire/passion for writing code


Code Design and implementation documentation writing experience


Must be a team player and self-motivated
Must have a current/active Secret clearance
Experience in the following areas is an asset:
Knowledge of Medical Systems ( AHLTA, MC4, TMIP-J, DMHRSi)
Knowledge of Medical Systems ( AHLTA, MC4, TMIP-J, DMHRSi)
DoD Program Management skills
Experience with DISA/JITC
Familiarization with IT Test and Evaluation experience is a definite plus(Grade range 765/766.  Final grade determination will be based on the KSAs of the selected candidate.)
