Software Engineer

Marlborough Engineering is a group of application developers and database designers, working on the clinical workflow products and solutions. The group is responsible for the Atlas product family and also holds engineering and QA responsibilities for several internal systems and applications. The department consists of development and QA groups.

The individual will be resonsible for assisting with the legacy applications as well as developing new applications and solutions for the Clinical Technologies and sevices division.

1. Work with BSAs and Product Specialists to engineer functional and business requirements
2. Write Technical documentation
3. Design, code and unit test software components, participate in JAD sessions, code reviews
4. Work with QA to assist in developing testing automation strategies
5. Provide work estimates on effort and report to management as required

.Education or Equivalent:
Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similiar

7-10 years of diverse enterprise-scale experience developing Windows and Web-based workflow applications and database solutions in large, multi-environment organizations. Proven track record in delivering high-quality software on time.

Experience with healthcare data is strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of Microsoft FoxPro is a must.
Experience with Microsoft development environment and languaages:such as C/C++, VB, ASP, Microsoft Development Studio.
Experience with .Net or/and J2EE.
Programming skills with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle. Working hands-on knowledge of T-SQL or/and PL/SQL Thorough understanding of the relational databases is required.
Experience testing distributed web-based application servers, such us JBoss or WebLogic is desired.

Must be detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Must work well individually as well as have the ability to work well as a team member.
