Software Engineer/Rules Engineer

Primary Characteristics:

?Responsible for working directly with Business owners to understand and document the problem domain.
?Responsible for technical planning, design, and programming of software applications.
?Software solutions will be global to EverBank Financial Corporation, spanning multiple businesses.
?Responsible for the software build process, the deployment to test environments, and the development and execution of test cases.
?Evaluate requests to determine technical feasibility, develop technical alternatives and recommend optimal technical solutions.
?Responsible for delivering software solutions using the following technologies:
a)Blaze Advisor
b)EJB
c)HTML / JSP / Java
d)Web Services

Essential Functions:

?Code/develop applications to program specifications by grasping the functional requirements and understanding the detailed application design.
?Meeting agreed standards and best practices.
?Write unit test code, using tools and writing test cases.
?Support deployed solutions (debugging and fixing problems).
?Participate in analyzing customer requirements and reviewing code.
?Take-up complete ownership of the work assigned in terms of quality and timeliness

Minimum Qualifications: (Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Requirements):

?Must have excellent communications skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
?Minimum experience of at least 5 years in software engineering experience.
?Strong desire to be "hands-on" as an individual contributor
?Self-starter, team player and excellent communication skills

Training and Experience:

?Bachelors Degree (preferably in a technical field)
?Experience with Fair Isaac?s Blaze Advisor in a Java Environment
?Extensive experience in rule writing and deployment of Blaze engines
?Experienced with Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) within an n-tier environment
?Strong knowledge of Enterprise architecture, and Object Oriented Design
?Substantive knowledge of Structured Query Language
?Substantive experience using Oracle or equivalent database vendor
