Software Engineer V.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

This position requires an individual capable to multi task between varieties of application development projects, from planning to delivery. Application range from Web, Mobile and Client/Server applications. Work together with a variety of developers using a pool of software components to provide solutions to our end customer. Experience in requirement analysis and object oriented analysis/design. Experience on the .Net platform and Database implementation is required. Capable of design and implement a solution through the life cycle of the project.

SKILLS SETS:

Software Development:
?Develop C# and .NET applications for Windows, web services, windows service
?.Net Compact Framework applications
?SQL Server and strong database knowledge
?IIS, XML and Networking knowledge
?Work with customers to understand business requirements
?Must be able to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
?Perform in requirements and detail design
?Perform coding, unit testing and integration testing
?Generate application as-built and unit test documents, and contribute to design, interface, and system test documents
?Comprehension of and experience in, software engineering and design
?Works within development standards & best practices
?Must have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, along with strong team and client communication and interaction skills are highly desirable
?Strong listener with willingness to learn
?Lead the team in project planning, estimation, solution design
?Assures in architectural integrity; Approves code review, deployment, testing, et al technical deliverables

Custom software support tasks:
?Support sales to technically define custom software requirements for customers.
?Write functional specs for customer software requirements.

?Personal computers running a Windows based operating system and SQL.
?Microsoft .Net
?Microsoft Visual Studio.

?Visual Source Safe.
?Subversion (CVS)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

?Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science required, and MS is desirable
?Minimum 10 years experience in Software Development
?Solid understanding of product life cycles and the role of requirements capture and requirements management throughout the product life cycle.
?Experience with object oriented design and programming and design patterns
?Experience providing software architecture and software solutions
?Experience with law enforcement / government systems desirable.
?Experience with fingerprint biometrics desirable.
