Job Description:

 

Software Engineer (Visualization) ? The successful candidate will work closely with researchers at the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH providing scientific visualization support. The position requires a bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Candidate must have strong problem solving skills and the ability to communicate with people outside their field. Requires U.S. citizenship or Permanent Resident status.


Responsibilities: Develop and maintain 3D applications for scientific visualization. Maintain visualization hardware.

Required Skills: C++ (2 ? 5 years), OpenGL (1+ years)

Desired Skills:
Scene graph toolkit such as OpenSceneGraph
Scientific Visualization using VTK, ITK, IDL

GUI development toolkit
Virtual Reality experience
