Software Engineer Wanted!!

The Opportunity: 

 

Onvia is seeking to add a Software Engineer to our development team in Seattle, Washington.  You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry and will work on innovative software. You can help turn innovative ideas into effective results. If have development experience in C#, SQL, regular expressions, web services, XML, ASP, Onvia wants you.  Qualified candidates should have a good understanding of general development principles and be eager to expand their knowledge of languages and concepts. 

 

Core Deliverables and Responsibilities:

 Designing technical solutions; including, but not limited to, experience with data modeling, entity relationship diagrams, and database design Writing technical design and/or specification documents You will also design and code web-based business applications, perform unit testing of deliverables, provide technical/troubleshooting assistance to development team members, and coordinate work efforts with outsourced and other development team members.


Position Qualifications:

 The ideal candidate has at least 1-2 years of practical development experience and has exhibited technical progression in their career. The work environment is fast-paced and multi-faceted, requiring demonstrable skill in small group communication, rapid learning and goal attainment with minimal supervision. Willing to work with and/or learn various technologies (including but not limited to C#, T-SQL, ASP, ASP.Net, Visual Basic, Java) Good verbal and written communication skills; capable of presenting technical topics to peers Highly motivated and will take ownership of work and pride in delivering quality products

 

 

Education /Training /Certifications: 

 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or equivalent work experience is preferred. Consideration will be given to all candidates who exhibit the traits and qualifications we seek.
