Software QA Engineer

As Software QA Engineer, you will be responsible in the following:
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of preliminary and detailed designs
- Participate in architectural reviews and analysis to ensure the efficacy of technical solutions.
- Design and verify test cases using functional requirements
- Isolate bugs
- Perform regression / verification testing
- Evaluate and suggest improvements to the software development process
- Work closely with the software developers to ensure a successful, high quality releases

- Deploy released software to production

 

The Software QA Engineer will report to the Chief Technology Officer.


Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years SQA testing applications such as portals or web applications
- 3+ years of server software testing

- Development experience with ASP and ASP.NET using VB Script and VB
- Performance monitoring, measurement and tuning of web-based applications
- Familiar with structured testing techniques and methodologies
- Experience with back-end, front-end and connectivity components of web applications
- Configuration and change management of software components and packages including defect/issue reporting and tracking
- Possess the appropriate level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge. Understands and applies procedures, regulations, and policies related to areas of specialized expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
