Job Description

 

Testing professionals focus on testing computer hardware and/or software applications at various stages - unit, component, and systems level - during the overall development process.  Individuals have deep skills in testing cross-environment, using automated testing tools and languages.

 

An Analyst Programmer will be required to participate in all phases of performance testing, including test planning, scripting and test execution.  They bring technical testing expertise developed through substantial hands-on experience in performance testing, providing support for other team members as required.

 

Key responsibilities may include:

 Serving as performance test engineer, developing test plans and test cases, automating and executing tests using the organization?s standard tools and processes. Managing the test infrastructure, including test databases Creating & executing load test scripts Generating Performance Test Reporting Analyzing Results and identifying performance bottlenecks Creating any other tools required to assist in performance  test execution

 

Qualifications

 At least 3 years professional testing experience in functional areas Well-developed team work and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to operate independently and communicate and work effectively with other test team members, infrastructure specialists and the developers At least 3 years relevant experience in performance testing with use of commercial load testing tool (eg LoadRunner,  QALoad) Basic experience in UNIX/Linux OS Experience in the use of commercial load testing tool (eg LoadRunner,  QALoad)
