Solutions Architect

Job Summary: The position of Solution Architect develops the standards and procedures for installation, deployment, maintenance, and upgrade of specifically defined server-based application software. 

 

Essential Functions:

1.  This is a service position, meaning that the incumbent is always serving either internal or external customers.

2.  The incumbent has and is expected to use the authority to make decisions to provide successful transactions and satisfy customers.

3.  Identify potential customer suggestions or complaints and coordinate with appropriate individuals for research.

 

Magnitude and Relationship Reporting:

This position reports directly to the respective supervisor. Work direction is also provided in cross-functional work situations.

 

Job Latitude:

The incumbent utilizes operational guidelines to perform the basic functions of the job with the ability to make independent decisions on non-routine issues.  Clarification and direction is provided by supervisor as requested. 

 

Contacts Inside and Outside the Organization:

The incumbent has contact with various levels of employees and departments in the organization. The incumbent has extensive contact with internal customers.  The incumbent has extensive contact with external customers.

 

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

-  4-year degree in computer science or related field.

-  Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

-  Strong interpersonal, communications, organizational and time management skills.

-  Strong problem resolution skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.

-  Execution of confidentiality agreement.

 

Messaging

-  4 years experience supporting, implementing and architecting corporate call center applications, WAN/LAN and SIP infrastructure.

-  Knowledge and experience with messaging gateway architecture design and implementation, messaging infrastructure, spam filtering, virus protection, OMA, and OWA.

-  Knowledge and experience with Active directory, DNS, DHCP, SQL server, and Security PKI infrastructure and certificates.

 

Telecommunications

-  4-6 years experience in supporting a corporate telephony environment (experience in supporting, implementing and architecting corporate call center applications).

-  Knowledge of and experience with WAN/LAN infrastructure.

-  Knowledge of and experience with SIP infrastructure.

 

Desired:

-  MCSE certification.

-  Knowledge of technical and end-user documentation and project management.
