Overview/Comments:

Major Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the support of all telecommunications equipment in the Rochester CMC and NDC. Position requires on call 24x 7 rotation with other specialist.

Responsible for working request and troubles within Remedy system.

Act as liaison between ADT and vendors on support of all products.

Responsible for all MAC work on Avaya PBX, Audix Voice Mail.

Responsible for Nice Recording system administration and maintenance as required.

Responsible for providing CMS and Standard reporting support for the centers.

Responsible for inventory management. Documentation of equipment spares and cable management.

Responsible for Daily backups and reporting.

Responsible for first level support for troubleshooting circuit issues.

Other duties as assigned

Skills, Experience, and Education Required

Knowledge of Avaya PBX, CTI, CMS, Audix, Nice Recording System, Nice Analyzer, Microcall Call Accounting, Inova Reader boards, Windows 2003 Server for support of Masphone and CTI applications, T-1, ISDN T-1, DS3, DID circuits, POTS service. Three to Five years telecommunication experience required. Lan and Desktop support experience desired but not required.

Responsibilities:

Plans, monitors, and evaluates the performance of the organization?s network systems in accordance with current and future business requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conducts feasibility studies on strategic and tactical plans, design of networks, and evaluation of services and technology; makes recommendations for improvements and upgrades.

2. Performs technical analyses and assists in the development and design of network plans.

3. Assists in developing technical standards and application interface.

4. Provides technical assistance and resolution for network problems.

5. Identifies and evaluates new procedures.

6. Interacts with vendors to identify and/or purchase hardware/software.

7. Under minimal supervision and with appreciable latitude for actions and decisions, has responsibility for all aspects of difficult projects that are broad in nature and require originality and ingenuity.

8. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education: Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Experience: Six (6) to Eight (8) years of prior related experience.

Skills: Advanced proficiency in the one or more of the following: Oracle Applications; PL/SQL; C/C++; Oracle Database; Digital Unix; Windows 95/98; Windows NT; Oracle Tools; Unix.
