Specialty Claims IT Specialist

Works with a small team that interfaces with both IT and the business users administering Claims Software Assets. Assets include: Electronic Data Management, Claims Portal, Electronic Claim Library, Claim Data Warehouse, Technical Appraisal System; Claims Litigation Management System; Claims Tracking Systems.

Understand business needs and direction and coordinates IT involvement accordingly.
Collaborate with IT Services to help identify issues and resolve problems.
Serve as a point of contact for IT Services as well as business users.
Seek opportunities to leverage technology to increase business efficiencies.
Analyze business requests for feasibility, including initial cost/benefit analysis and prioritize requests.
Create communication plans for rolling out enhancements as well as better utilization of existing tools.
Assist in implementation of new systems.

Required Skills:
Bachelor"&tm;s degree or equivalent IT/business-related work experience.
Minimum of five years within IT Claims operating environment including working knowledge of legacy claims systems and operating procedures.
Ability to define tasks and standards in areas of technical expertise.
Ability to define time estimates for all but most complex project deliverables.
Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to analyze technical information and present it so that it is understandable to business users.
